The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seized banned gutkha, pan masala, and scented tobacco worth Rs 1.26 crore on September 28, including two Eicher trucks valued at Rs 41 lakh. The operation followed a tip-off about trucks transporting banned tobacco from Palghar to Bhiwandi. FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe responded to bribery allegations by Sanjay Raut and announced infant nutrition as the next target.
