Maharashtra FDA Resolves 72% of Complaints in Three Months

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) received 13,857 complaints via its online grievance portal since its launch on July 14, 2026, resolving 71.8% of them. An AI-based system filtered out 11,491 invalid or out-of-jurisdiction complaints. Pune recorded the highest number of grievances, with rising complaints against dark stores and quick-commerce platforms, according to FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe.
