Maharashtra CEO Receives 6.24 Lakh Forms for Voter Updates After Draft Roll Publication

During Maharashtra's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the CEO received 6.24 lakh forms for new voter registrations, objections, and corrections across 36 districts. Pune recorded the highest number with 56,605 forms. The draft electoral rolls were published on August 31, 2026. Before SIR, 21.14% of names were dropped from the rolls, totaling over 2 crore names removed from 9.78 crore.
