The Madras High Court ruled that non-Hindus who refuse to adopt Hindu faith or follow traditional customs cannot enter Agama temples, as it would affect their religious sanctity. The decision came after a PIL demanding strict enforcement of the Tamil Nadu Temple Entry Authority Act. The ruling applies only to Agama temples, which are built and managed per ancient Agama scriptures.
