Madras HC Rejects Tamil Nadu Minister KN Nehru's Review Plea in Cash-for-Jobs Scam

The Madras High Court dismissed former Tamil Nadu minister KN Nehru's review petition against its February 20 order directing a case registration into alleged bribery in recruitment to the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department during the previous DMK regime. The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption registered the case on June 5, 2026, based on Enforcement Directorate findings of a cash-for-jobs racket involving 2,538 posts and bribes of Rs 25-35 lakh.
