PoliticsMadras HC Denies FCRA to Organisations Engaged in Religious Conversion
The Madras High Court ruled that religious organisations not affecting secularism or social harmony can obtain FCRA registration. However, organisations involved in converting people from one religion to another will be denied FCRA registration. This decision came during the hearing of an appeal by Kanzeon Public Charitable Trust, which was denied FCRA registration despite being registered under Sections 12AB and 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
