Madhya Pradesh Withdraws Plan to Privatize 9 Government Medical Colleges
The Madhya Pradesh government has withdrawn its proposal to hand over the operation of nine government medical colleges to private partners under the PPP model. These colleges, built at a cost of around ₹4,000 crore, include those in Neemuch, Shyopur, Singrauli, Mandla, Rajgarh, Budni, Chhatarpur, and Damoh. The decision was made after opposition from political parties and doctors, emphasizing that the government will continue to operate and maintain these institutions.
