Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has lowered its FY27 tractor industry growth forecast from about 5% to flat, citing worsening drought and rainfall deficits in Maharashtra and Karnataka. Despite this, strong demand in northern states like Uttar Pradesh and improving sales in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan may provide some support. M&M leads the sector with a 41.5% market share. CEO Rajesh Jejurikar highlighted severe drought and economic pressures as key factors in the revised outlook.
