Longest Ukraine War Ceasefire in Kherson Ends After 6 Days

The longest ceasefire in the Ukraine war, limited to eastern Kherson, ended on Sunday after Russia declined to extend it. The truce, brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump, lasted from October 27 to November 1 and allowed a humanitarian mission to Oleshky. Ukrainian officials called it the biggest de-escalation since 2022. Talks mediated by the US and Russia are set to resume this month.
