LIV Golf Faces Liquidation as Restructuring Deal Collapses
LIV Golf is nearing liquidation after a restructuring deal to revive the league failed. BC Partners, which had pledged $300 million to support LIV, plans to terminate the deal. LIV filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund withdrew $5 billion in funding. The league had tried to retain players by offering equity in a LIV 2.0 version but failed to secure enough support.
