Learjet Crash in Florida Kills 9, Plane Dropped 20,000 Feet per Minute

A Learjet 60 carrying nine people crashed near Palm Beach, Florida, after climbing to 37,000 feet. Audio from Miami air traffic control revealed the plane suddenly dropped at a rate of 20,000 feet per minute. The flight was en route from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described the crash as cataclysmic, resembling a missile going down. Authorities continue investigating the cause.
