Ladakh High Court Bench Begins Regular Hearings at 11,500 Feet in Leh

The Ladakh Bench of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court started regular hearings at over 11,500 feet altitude in Leh. Chief Justice Dr Pushpendra Singh Bhati and Justice Sanjay Parihar presided over the first division bench session. The hybrid setup allowed virtual participation by the Chief Justice and in-person hearings by Justice Parihar, who handled around 65 cases on the inaugural day.

21 Protected Turtles Rescued in Madhya Pradesh After Gang Tip-Off

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the State Tiger Strike Force rescued 21 protected turtles following a tip-off from Raunak Juneja, an arrested member of an interstate wildlife smuggling gang. The recovered turtles include 19 Indian Pond turtles and 2 Star Tortoises, both protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Five accused have been arrested so far in the case.
