Seventeen-year-old Kumkum Mohod from Amravati made history by becoming India's first women's recurve archery champion at the Asian Games. She defeated South Korea's Oh Yejin in a shoot-off to win gold, securing an early quota for the 2028 LA Olympics. Kumkum also won team gold and mixed team silver, beating top archers including World Champion Kang Chaeyoung and silver medallist Zhu Jingyi.
