Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy accused the Karnataka Congress government of making only token efforts to secure drought assistance from the Centre. He said neither CM D K Shivakumar nor Deputy CM G Parameshwara met PM Narendra Modi or Home Minister Amit Shah to seek help. Kumaraswamy criticized the plan to send an all-party delegation as a political stunt, noting drought funds rose from Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 26,000 crore without earnest efforts.
