The six-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the October 17 Kolkata Durga Puja stampede, which killed 19 people, has focused on the narrow exit point and dimly lit pathway at the Chor Bagan pandal. The stampede occurred amid heavy rain as crowds surged through a cramped bylane. SIT head Anindita Roy Saraswati confirmed the incident happened at the exit, not inside the pandal. Forensic teams created a 3D map and used drones for aerial footage to aid the investigation.
