Kerala Power Bills May Rise from April 2027 Under New KSERC Tariff

Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) has notified a new five-year tariff framework effective from April 1, 2027, to March 31, 2032. The framework allows monthly fuel-cost surcharges, time-of-day pricing, and recovery of regulatory assets. Fuel and power purchase adjustment surcharges will apply to most consumers except small domestic users. KSEB and licensees must file tariff petitions by November 30, with final rates set after regulatory review.
