Kerala HC stays Vigilance probe against Pinarayi Vijayan, Veena, and Riyas

On October 26, the Kerala High Court stayed the Vigilance FIR and further investigation against former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter Veena T, and former minister PA Mohamed Riyas in the CMRL-Exalogic case. The Division Bench also stayed the single judge’s order directing case registration. The case involves allegations of corruption linked to payments from Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited to Veena's company, Exalogic Solutions.

Delhi HC refuses to stay probe into journalists accused of casteist remarks on ACP...

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday declined to stay the investigation into two journalists accused of making casteist remarks against ACP Vivek Bhagat. The journalists allegedly humiliated the officer and obstructed his duties during an October 3 protest. Justice Mini Pushkarna said the investigation cannot be stayed without reviewing the Delhi Police's status report. Due to Cyclone Arnab, Odisha has ordered the closure of schools and Anganwadi centres in Khordha, Puri, Ganjam, Koraput, Rayagada, and Nabarangpur districts starting October 27. In Khordha, schools will close from 1 PM on October 27 through October 28. Teachers must remain on premises with roster duties to manage cyclone impact. The OCS Mains exam has been rescheduled as a precaution.
