Kerala HC Sets Aside Guidelines for Producing Accused After Court Hours

The Kerala High Court has set aside existing guidelines that restricted producing an accused before judicial officers after court hours, currently allowed only between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The court retained the requirement for prior intimation to the magistrate for productions after 5 p.m. and directed the State government to issue fresh guidelines. The decision came during a PIL challenge by lawyer P.S. Subeesh.
