Kerala HC refuses to quash Kochi spa brothel case despite women's denial

The Kerala High Court refused to quash criminal proceedings against an alleged brothel disguised as an Ayurvedic spa in Kochi. Although the women involved later denied sexual exploitation and filed affidavits disowning the allegations, Justice Jobin Sebastian ruled on September 23 that their recantation alone does not eliminate the possibility of conviction or justify ending the prosecution.
