Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan stated that the government is considering extending the term of the 12th Pay Revision Commission, which was appointed to recommend pay revisions for government employees. The commission's initial three-month term, chaired by former Chief Secretary V.P. Joy, has ended. The extension aims to allow more time for data collection and smooth functioning. The previous LDF government had delayed the commission's setup and terms publication until just before the Assembly elections.
