Kerala Excise Minister M Liju revoked a bakery's licence to sell 'horti-wine,' a 15.5% alcohol beverage made from local fruits, in Thrissur. The licence was allowed under previous LDF government rules but was cancelled as the current UDF government is finalizing its policy. The excise officer who issued the licence, CK Anil Kumar, has been transferred and placed on compulsory wait, as the minister was not informed beforehand.
