Kerala Government to Start Talks on Calligraphy Academy

The Kerala Government announced plans to promote calligraphy by initiating talks to establish a dedicated academy. Chief Minister V D Satheesan revealed this during the inauguration of the fourth International Calligraphy Festival of Kerala 2026 in Kochi. The academy, in collaboration with artist Narayana Bhattathiri, aims to preserve and teach calligraphy. The festival features works from 24 Indian and 3 international artists.
