ED Freezes 1,424 Bank Accounts in Mizoram-Manipur Drug Case

On October 23, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids in Mizoram and Manipur under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The operation targeted money laundering linked to heroin, brown sugar, and methamphetamine trafficking from Myanmar. ED froze 1,424 bank accounts and seized assets worth over ₹26 crore, including ₹17.82 crore recently attached. Six accused were arrested during the raids.
