Kerala is emerging as a safe destination for students from Manipur, especially from the Kuki community, affected by ethnic tensions in their home state. Around 200 students have moved to Kerala over the past three years to continue their education. The Kerala government, along with NGOs and well-wishers, has provided support including accommodation, enabling students like Goulungmon Haokip to pursue careers such as law.
