Kashmir Records First Sub-Zero Temperatures in Gulmarg and Pahalgam

Kashmir experienced its first sub-zero temperatures of the season with Gulmarg and Pahalgam recording minimum temperatures of -0.4°C and -0.3°C respectively. Srinagar's minimum was 2.9°C, and Qazigund hit 0°C. Daytime temperatures remained below normal, with fresh snowfall reported in higher areas like Peer Ki Gali and Sinthan Top. The Meteorological Department forecasts dry weather until October 31.

Moscow to Host 2030 World Weightlifting Championships

Moscow will host the 2030 World Weightlifting Championships, the first major Olympic sports event awarded to Russia since its 2022 invasion of Ukraine, the International Weightlifting Federation announced.
