Karnataka to Raise Milk Price by ₹8 After Council Polls
The Karnataka government is considering an ₹8 per litre increase in the price of Nandini milk by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF). The hike, demanded by milk producers due to drought-related distress, will be implemented only after the Legislative Council elections due to the Model Code of Conduct. The proposal was discussed in the State Cabinet following requests from district milk unions and Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
