PoliticsKarnataka to Install 87 Granite Pillars Honoring Gandhi Visits
Karnataka government is installing 87 granite pillars across the state to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's visits on the 157th Gandhi Jayanti. Sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru is crafting these monolithic pillars from high-grade granite sourced from Andhra Pradesh. Each 10-foot pillar features Hoysala-style design and a four-headed lion emblem, built to last over 500 years with minimal maintenance.
