Karnataka authorities seized nearly 565 tonnes of subsidised rice worth ₹1.34 crore in a three-day crackdown on a network diverting Food Corporation of India grain for illegal export to Africa via Chennai port. Six criminal cases were registered, nine people booked, and two government officials faced disciplinary action. The operation also seized 24 vehicles worth ₹3.41 crore, totaling ₹4.75 crore in seized property.
