The Karnataka government has proposed a Sovereign AI Compute and Innovation Centre under a public-private partnership, announced IT Minister Priyank Kharge. The project aims to enhance the state's digital infrastructure with 1GW data centre capacity and a Rs 1,300-crore policy outlay. It includes AI computing, data centre operations, high-performance processors, and secure digital infrastructure, planned under a five-year BOOT model.
