In Karnataka, 190 undergraduate medical seats under the management quota remain vacant this year. To fill these, private medical colleges are offering up to a 50% fee reduction in the special stray vacancy round. Some colleges reduced fees from Rs 1.26 crore to Rs 65 lakh for the full 4.5-year course. Colleges are using agents to attract students since KEA cannot publish revised fees. Results for the counselling will be announced on November 11.
