Karnataka government has mandated doctors at taluk hospitals and primary health centres to record night-time attendance via the geo-fencing Kartavya app starting November 1, 2026. This pilot aims to ensure doctors reside at their designated headquarters and improve public service delivery. The order, approved by the Chief Minister, also applies to contract and outsourced government employees, with exemptions for those on leave.
