Karnataka HC stays FIRs against BJP BLAs over bulk voter deletion forms

The Karnataka High Court has stayed FIRs against BJP Booth Level Agents (BLAs) who filed bulk Form 7 applications seeking deletion of voters during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The FIRs were registered following complaints by Anoop Iyengar, a Congress candidate, in Bengaluru constituencies. Petitioners argued no wrongdoing as officials can verify the applications. The court passed the order after hearing petitions by Deepak Singh R and GS Vasanthalakshmi.
