PoliticsKarnataka HC Rejects Insurance Appeal in Triple-Rider Accident Case
The Karnataka High Court dismissed an insurance company's appeal against compensation awarded in a 2010 triple-rider motorcycle accident. The court cited the Supreme Court ruling that triple riding alone does not imply contributory negligence unless it caused or worsened the accident. The accident killed rider Manna Khan Sadiq and injured two pillion riders. Compensation totaling over Rs 15 lakh was awarded to the victims and their families.
