Karnataka HC Jails Man 3 Months for Forging Court Order in Engineering Admission Case

The Karnataka High Court sentenced Chethan Kumar from Sidlaghatta, Chikkaballapura district, to three months' imprisonment for criminal contempt after he forged an interim order related to engineering admissions. He altered the original September 28, 2017, order to October 28, 2017, adding names of students not involved in the petition. The forged order included a fake court stamp and was created to benefit five other students. The court noted October 28 was a Saturday when the court was closed.
