Over 500 Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kasaragod were stranded in Saudi Arabia due to flight disruptions. Nearly 300 pilgrims registered with the Dakshina Kannada Hajj Umrah Private Tour Organisers Association are returning via road to Qatar to catch flights home. Pilgrims travel 13 hours by road from Jeddah to Qatar, then fly to India, using airports like Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kochi due to limited seats and high fares.
