Karnataka Ends Claims and Objections Phase in Special Intensive Revision

The phase for issuing notices and disposing of claims and objections under Karnataka's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise ends on Thursday. Since August 24, over 10 lakh inclusion requests, 1.22 lakh exclusion requests, and nearly 13 lakh address change requests were filed. Some applications were rejected due to errors or inability to verify applicants during spot visits. Protests against SIR are planned on October 23 and November 1.
