Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar staged a dharna outside the Chief Electoral Officer's office demanding urgent action against misuse of Form 7 applications to delete voters, especially from minority and Dalit communities. Allegations include a BJP functionary from Belagavi involved in bulk deletions. Shivakumar warned of a conspiracy to remove 50 lakh voters. KPCC president B K Hariprasad has written seven letters to the Election Commission about fraudulent applications. The CEO delayed FIR registration despite the issue being public for two weeks.
