Karnataka CEO: 84,900 Form 7 Applications Received, No Names Deleted

Karnataka's Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukkumar stated that although 84,900 Form 7 applications were received from June 16 to October 1, no voter names have been deleted based on these forms. This follows Chief Minister D K Shivakumar's dharna demanding FIRs against bulk Form 7 applicants alleging targeting of minorities and backward classes. The Election Commission clarified that all applications undergo summary inquiry with notices and hearings before any deletion.
