Karnataka Cancels Physical Office Hearings for 7.82 Lakh Pending Notices

Karnataka's Election Commission has scrapped physical office hearings for 7.82 lakh pending notices related to voter list revisions under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Instead, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit homes to collect documents and upload them online for Electoral Registration Officers (ERO) to decide. Only exceptional cases may have online hearings. The deadline for disposal of claims is October 22. Bangalore Urban and BBMP areas have the highest pending notices.
