Kannada Critic and Linguist K V Narayana Dies at 79

K V Narayana, a renowned Kannada writer, linguist, and literary critic, passed away at 79 in Bengaluru after a brief illness. Born in 1948 in Mysuru district, he earned his PhD under poet G S Shivarudrappa. Narayana taught at Bangalore University and Kannada University, Hampi, serving as Dean, Registrar, and acting Vice-Chancellor. He also chaired the Kuvempu Bhasha Bharati Authority.
