K-RIDE Launches Long Girders for Chandapura Rail Bridge

K-RIDE launched two 61-meter-long Open Web Girders weighing about 245 metric tonnes each at the railway overbridge near Chandapura, Bengaluru. The girders, launched on October 10 and 28, are the longest for the Baiyappanahalli-Hosur railway doubling project, aiming for completion by January 2027. The new structure will support both up and down lines and enable Hosur Road expansion to 12 lanes, easing traffic congestion.
