Justice Nagarathna Urges Integrated ADR to Reduce Family Court Backlogs

Supreme Court judge Justice B V Nagarathna, chairperson of the Committee for Family Court Matters, called for a combined approach of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and court adjudication to resolve family disputes more quickly and humanely. Speaking at the Eastern Zone Regional Conference in Guwahati, she emphasized that ADR should complement courts, not replace them, to protect relationships and ensure women's legal rights during prolonged litigation.
