Judge Rules US Can Deport Wisconsin Mosque Leader on Security Grounds

A U.S. immigration judge ruled that Salah Sarsour, leader of Wisconsin’s largest mosque and an advocate for Palestinian rights, can be deported on national security grounds. Detained in Milwaukee in March, Sarsour was released in June but remains subject to deportation due to decades-old convictions in Israel and alleged false claims on his green card application. He plans to appeal the decision.
