JSW Steel Q2 Profit More Than Triples on Strong Demand
JSW Steel, India's largest steelmaker, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹5,279 crore for Q2 FY27, more than tripling from ₹1,623 crore a year earlier. The profit surpassed analyst estimates due to higher volumes, steel prices, and strong domestic demand. CEO Jayant Acharya highlighted robust industrial activity and investments but noted risks from elevated energy prices, inflation, and RBI's hawkish stance.
