JSP leader and AP Tourism Development Corporation Director Ganta Swaroopa Rani's nominations for Kovvuru and Sithanagaram ZPTC seats in East Godavari district were rejected. The rejection was due to the absence of her vote in the final electoral rolls for these mandals. She had applied to transfer her vote from Rajamahendravaram rural constituency, but the process was incomplete by the October 24 deadline. The ZPTC elections use electoral rolls with a cutoff date of January 1, 2026.

Assam CM orders action after attack on Bihu artists, 13 arrested
