JLR India Begins Local Production of Defender, Prices From ₹99 Lakh

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has started local manufacturing of the Defender SUV in Pune, reducing prices by up to ₹34 lakh for fully loaded models. The locally made Defender X-Dynamic HSE is available with 2.0-litre petrol, 3.0-litre petrol, and 3.0-litre diesel engines. Prices start at ₹99 lakh for the 2.0-litre petrol variant, ₹118 lakh for both 3.0-litre petrol and diesel versions. JLR expects a 20% sales increase, having sold 9,000 Defenders in the last 3.5 years.
