Jharkhand Police Staff Suspended After Woman Raped at Gamharia Station

The entire staff of Gamharia police station in Jharkhand's Seraikela Kharsawan district was suspended after a woman was allegedly raped inside the station on October 29. The woman had come to lodge a complaint and was raped by a wireless operator while waiting. A special investigation team led by SDPO Anubhav Bhardwaj is probing the case. Fifteen police personnel, including two SIs and four ASIs, have been suspended. The main accused and two others have been arrested.
