JDU Suspends Anant Singh for Six Years, Recommends Assembly Membership Cancellation

Janata Dal United (JDU) has suspended Bihar MLA Anant Singh from the party for six years and revoked his primary membership immediately. The party also recommended the Bihar Assembly Speaker to cancel his assembly membership under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution. Singh supported a rival candidate in the recent Bihar Legislative Council elections, defying party lines. Former MLA Neelam Devi was also suspended for six years. The decision followed repeated violations and disrespectful language towards party leadership by Singh.
