Jantar Mantar Removed as Protest Site; New Locations Announced

Delhi has removed Jantar Mantar from the list of designated protest sites. Instead, Ramleela Maidan, Burari Maidan, and CBD Maidan in East Delhi are now the official protest locations. Revised SOPs for protests at these sites will be issued. This change is part of a partial amendment to the permanent order L O/48/22 dated April 28, 2022. Abhijeet Deepak called Jantar Mantar a war zone and welcomed the change.
