Jammu and Kashmir's State Investigation Agency (SIA) is reviewing decades-old unresolved terror-killing cases. A high-level committee is examining old FIRs where perpetrators were never identified or prosecuted. Some cases may be reassigned to the SIA or district police. This includes killings of both Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims. Recently, the SIA filed a 737-page chargesheet in the 1990 abduction and murder of Kashmiri Pandit nurse Sarla Bhat, naming Mohammad Yasin Malik and others as accused.
